On Saturday, November 11, the closing ceremony of the Zero Wind Show 2023 circuit was held in Desenzano del Garda. After a long season, the enthusiasm of the athletes remained high to the last and it is the fun together with the passion for this fantastic sport that makes the ZWS not only a competition but a way to get all together, create bonds and friendships. The organization with the award ceremonies wanted to create a moment of reunion before the winter rest among all the athletes who shared labors and joys with so much courage and perseverance.
Guests at Palazzo Todeschini included the Deputy Mayor of the City of Desenzano del Garda Stefano Medioli; ACSI President Emiliano Borgna; Pidigì Group Marketing Director Nicolò Ferrarese; and Pidigì Group Product Manager Alberto Povolo.
The first to speak was Stefano Medioli, who greeted the athletes saying, “Being here today for us is a reason of honor. Desenzano is talking more and more about cycling. These are important occasions. This year in addition to the Colnago and Zero Wind Show, there will be a stage of the Giro d'Italia, the result of a whole year's work. Thanks to all those present, we will work more and more to ensure that Desenzano del Garda will always be a city suitable for sports activities.”; Nicolò Ferrarese followed: ”Confirming the partnership with Zero Wind Show pleases us very much. This connection has allowed us to get closer to the people who use in our products. I thank Tazio, his team and the organization because for us Zero Wind Show is a boost of energy and that is what we want to keep doing”; Alberto Povolo: ”We, as a company, started almost timidly behind giants, we have grown so much. Today, what is developing more and more is lightweight clothing that can facilitate the activities of you athletes. I thank you very much for what you do.”; Emiliano Borgna: ”I think there is a change going on in the world of cycling, and in this I have to give kudos to those like Tazio who understood this a long time ago. Something different was needed. Just thinking about these award ceremonies: it is a time to celebrate one's champions. We, as ACSI, are involved in amateur sports, our champions are you and you gratify us by attending events. We welcome moments like this, they serve to tell your stories.”
After greetings from the authorities, the calendar of the 2024 Zero Wind Show Circuit was presented! It will be an all new edition, which will maintain the solid foundations of the most emblazoned events in Italy. Three new trials will be added to the 2024 circuit: the first new entry will be held on March 17 - Granfondo del Pò; the second will come in the middle of the season, on June 16, and will be the circuit's novelty, the time trial at Berghem Mola Mia; finally, icing on the cake, the Granfondo Torino - May 12, in honor of the Grand Departure of the Giro D'Italia and the passage of the Tour de France, could not be missed.
The presentation was followed by the awarding of the athletes: from the first in category, to the Team Leader, finishing with the brave and daring The Best 2024. In short, the Zero Wind Show, year after year, is collecting great successes. Registration for the next season has been open since Friday, November 3, and there are already so many applications. The organization couldn't ask for anything better, A SPECTACULAR CLOSURE, TILL NEXT SEASON!
